The superior design of the retractor is evident immediately. With its unique CONCAVE bladedesign & functional “T” shape, further enhanced by “support-bars” a which provide added“stability” when lifting; these unique features provide the surgeon with an un-paralleled“exposure” of the operating field while facilitating the repair of the rectus diastasis andabdominal fascia. In addition, it is ideally suited for the atraumatic lifting of the dermocuta-neous flap using the borders of the rectus abdominis muscle as a guide.

Although there are a variety of other retractors/ systemsavailable in the market today, they are less effective, dueto the uneven distribution of force. Most proceduresbecome progressively labor-intensive as incision lengthincreases. To remedy this problem, the retractor is furtherenhanced by 3 sharp prongs b which are evenly placed oneither side. This eliminates the need to hold the edges ofthe flap with other fixed blade retractors, where constant

re-adjustment creates interruption, and in effect drastically reduces complications.

The superior design continues on the handle as well, where a“tapered” ergonomic handle c design to improve grip strengthwas adopted. At the distal end of the handle, an elongated “J”hook d was engineered to further improve control.
