Enews 10 : April 2010 Linssen E-News April 44 (0) 1590 679222 44 (0) 1590 647446 Switchboard Fax [email protected] Linssen Yachts Summer Festival 2010 In the hope that we get the same fantastic sunny weather as last year, Linssen are again hosting their Summer Festival at the Shipyard from 10am to 4pm on 4th to 7th June inclusive. The yard facilities will be open, and there will be the opportunity to register for demonstrations on the Linssen of your choice on the calm waters of the Maas. Linssen will also be launching two new models in the “9” Series range; the 36.9AC and 43.9AC. The 36.9 affords an aft shower compartment (previously only available on the 40.9AC), whereas the 43.9 features a larger saloon with a full u-shaped sofa and will be fitted with the Steyr 6-cylinder 150HP turbo diesel from Austria. The Steyr revs to 2500 RPM, generating high torque at lower speeds which make the unit ideal for displacement applications. Please keep the date in your diaries for now, and we will be in touch with more information shortly. Testing Times for the 29.9 Sedan ‘Nordic’ Please watch out for the June edition of Motor Boats Monthly—their ‘Inland & Displacement’ Special. Hot on the heels of her victory in the Delius Klasing ‘European Powerboat of the Year’ Awards in January, we will be testing the 29.9 Sedan Nordic with the team from the UK magazine. Here’s hoping that we get some good weather and photo opportunities to show off her ravishing Magma Red paint job—we think she makes a great cover-shot! In fact, Linssen have now introduced a graded level of Nordic Package options on the Grand Sturdy 29.9 and 34.9 models. Pack 1 includes Magma Red and Glacier White livery, PVC fendering extended bathing platform, Pack 2 adds Workboat fendering and Pack 3 adds checker- plating on deck, pivoting aluminium mast and bow docking lights. Barge Walk Linssens Geoff Cook at our Barge Walk sub-agency on the non-tidal Thames has two brokerage listings coming soon to his moor- ings in Thames Ditton. In addition to the fleet of Linssens al- ready berthed on this idyllic reach, a 2008 33.9 Aft Cabin and 2007 29.9 Aft Cabin are on their way there to be marketed. At Lymington we presently have two brokerage Linssens in our yard—a beautiful 2005 470, and a little-used 2008 33.9 Aft Cabin—with refitting work currently being carried outon a 500 Variotop Mk.II prior to her routing through France and on to the Mediterranean.
