Which Library?
If a book is out you can request it be returned early for you to borrow.You need to have signed in to DiscoverEd to do this.

Sign-in [EASE authenticated] to:• Request early returns for you to borrow next.
• Find as many results as there are to find (esp off-campus).• See loan period defined for you.• See previous as well as current loans.• Save records.• Save searches to run again.

Maximum borrowing time by loan period Undergraduates

Renewing Books
You can keep books longer than the first loan period
You can’t renew when: • you’ve reached the limit, • the book’s been requested or • your fines are too high.
If you think none of these reasons should be stopping you renew a book, contact library staff
and they’ll be able to help.

FinesFines for overdue books:
20p per day for standard books / 40p per day for short loan books [maximum £10] – with one day’s grace. - on day two of being overdue, a fine equals the cost of two days being overdue.
N.B.£1 per day for overdue recalled books [maximum £10]2p per minute for overdue reserve books [maximum £25]

The University supports the reference management software, EndNote, for which there is a desktop and online version.
The online version is free.
ENDNOTE CITE WHILE YOU WRITE (CWYW) Is installed on the open access computers but for your own laptop/personal computer - Go to EndNote Online’s Format tab > Cite While You Write Plug-in. The CWYW plugin doesn't work with Word online - but you can download Word 2016 on up to 5 devices:
