    Understanding(s)/Goals:-Students will learn how technology can enhance learning and how to can make our writingcome to life.

    Essential Question (s):-How can we tell about what we learned about animals by using technology?-How can we work in groups to present our information learned?

    Student Objectives (outcomes):-Students will be able to apply what they have learned and express it by using technology.They will be able to create a type of media to teach the rest of the class what they learned.Students will be able to work collaboratively.

    Stage 2- Assessment Evidence

    Performance Task (s):-Students will work together to create a blog, video, powerpoint, movie, etc. Students will usetechnology to share what they learned.

    Other Evidence:-Students will present their project to the class and explain what they learned.

    Intro:

    Have students discuss with a small group what they have learned about pandas so far. Havestudents think if there is any other topics that they wanted to learn about but havent yet. Infostudents that today they will be completing more research today. The goal of their research isto create a project that is informative about pandas.

    Lesson:

    Allow students to use computers and books that will help them complete research on thepanda. While students are researching have them take notes in their notebook. Students cawork with a partner to complete this research.

    Closure:

    Have students share what they learned about the panda through the research that theycompleted.

    Extension:

    Students will research the location of of pandas all over the world. Students will mark on a

    blank world map where the pandas are located. After students have found the location theyuse the map scale to figure the distance between the pandas locations to where they live.Students will document their information on the map.
