Resources:- 7 th grade CD book (recording 55)- Listening handout; “what are we doing to our planet?”- Radio- Whiteboard
- Markers- Collocations cards- Collocations lyrics created by the teacher.

Comments- The teacher whites on the board the date- The teacher writes on the board the goalsof the lesson.- Role calling- The teacher tells their students they aregoing to listen to a recording about takingcare of the planet.
- The teacher givers their students thelistening handout.- The teacher plays the recording once ansthe students listen to it.- The teacher asks their students how many
people there were in the recording talking.- The teacher draws in the whiteboard two
people and explains their students themeaning of the word “interview” throughthe drawing.- The students listen again the recording andanswer the listening handout.- The teacher and the students check theanswers from 1 to 5.- The teachers plays the recording again.- The students answer the questions fromthe handout.- The teacher and the students check theanswers from 6 to 10.

Closing - The teacher draws students’ attention tothe collocation that appeared in therecording that they have already learnt.- The teacher with some students help stickson the whiteboard the collocations cards
(half of the collocation).- The teacher asks their students to completethe half that is missing in the collocationorally.- Some students come to the board tocomplete the collocations.- The teacher tells their students they aregoing to learn a song related to collocations.- The teacher ask their students to make therhythm of the song with their hands.- the teacher stars playing the song;

- After saying all the collocations that are onthe board (global warming, greenhouseeffect, acid rain, air pollution, water
pollution, ozone layer, noise pollution etc)with the song, the teacher ask her guideteacher to sing the song with the children.- The children and the guide teacher singalong.- With the same song the teacher changesthe strategy and now she picks up who mustanswer the collocation.
