The Three Forces of Islamism

• Military forces– Jihadists fighting in the Middle East, and expanding their battle

grounds to Europe, Asia, and the Americas– Formal fighting forces and ad hoc terrorist forces

• Demographic forces– The powerful and dangerous combination of the declining

birthrate of western nations, extraordinary Islamic migration through refugee resettlement, and high Islamic birthrates due to cultural norms and polygamy

• Political forces– The Muslim Brotherhood’s focus on “ballots,” combined with

pressures to be “politically-correct,” to treat Islam as a peaceful religion, and to pretend that Islamism does not pose a danger

How Demography Impacts A Society• 0% - 2%: Strident calls for more attention, focus on religious rights.

– US 0.9% (reported 0.6% in 2014)• 2% - 5%: Proselytize disaffected groups, including prisoners, gangs

– Described the concept of Eurabia as scaremongering. – Matt Carr wrote that "What began as an outlandish conspiracy theory

has become a dangerous Islamophobic fantasy" • The Muslim population is not growing as fast as some scenarios claim, since

the fertility rate of immigrants declines. This ignores recent refugee influx• Muslims are not a monolithic or cohesive group. Muslims do seek to integrate
