WELCOME TO THE 2019 LEGACY MISSION TO ISRAELAccompanied by an experienced guide and friendly, well-informed staff, we will travel the length and breadth of the country in comfort and style.

Our journey begins in Tel Aviv based at the elegant Dan Hotel, located in the heart of this exciting metropolis, just a stone’s throw from the city’s amazing sandy beaches. From here we will visit the Negev region, and have an opportunity to see the life-changing projects supported by JNF UK, and actively engage with the people who are benefitting from our support.

After an interesting and enjoyable day in Tel Aviv, we will make our way to Jerusalem for the second half of the trip. Based at the deluxe Inbal Hotel with spectacular views of the Old City, we will enjoy Shabbat in Israel’s capital and then explore some of the city’s hidden gems.

Itinerary


NEGEVWe will travel to the southern part of the Negev to see

Ben Gurion's home in Sde Boker and more inspiring projects

in Yerucham that JNF UK is supporting

In the evening, we will get together for a group dinner at a

trendy Tel Aviv restaurant


TEL AVIV/JAFFAWe will start the day at the Centre for Israeli Innovation

by Taglit. The building not only displays the most

promising Israeli startups but is the temporary location for

Independence Hall, the recreated, restored hall where the

Israeli Declaration of Independence took place

From there we will go on to visit the eclectic mix of stalls

and shops in Jaffa’s Flea Market and have a walking tour of

the area before sitting down to a delicious lunch at

Café Yaffo

In the afternoon we will go to the Museum of the Jewish

People at Beit Hatfutsot (formerly known as the Diaspora

Museum), a global institution that tells the ongoing and

extraordinary 4,000-year-old story of the Jewish people

Before heading to Jerusalem, we will stop at Neot

Kedumim, the world’s only Biblical Landscape Reserve

Check in to Inbal Hotel, Jerusalem

come together for a festive Shabbat dinner in the hotel

Visit one of the many synagogues in the vicinity

In the evening we will see the spectacular King David new sound and

light show


JERUSALEMWe will start the day with a visit to Yad Vashem and then Mount Herzl

Later on we will head to Jerusalem’s beautiful Italian Synagogue, the interior

of which belonged to a 1719 synagogue in Conegliano Veneto, Italy and was

removed and transported to Jerusalem in its entirety after the Holocaust

Free time

In the evening we will get together for a group dinner in one of Jerusalem’s

many restaurants


JERUSALEMIn the morning we will go to the Davidson Centre, the Jerusalem Archaeological

Park located close to the Western Wall in the Old City

We will then travel to the Radar Hill scenic lookout and memorial in Har Adar

We will have a late lunch at Derech HaGefen, a spectacular garden restaurant

just outside of Jerusalem

MASADA AND EIN GEDIOur day will start with a visit to Masada, ascending this great archaeological site

by cable car. We will see some tour highlights and then have time to do some

shopping or visit the ‘mini’ museum

We will then travel to Ein Gedi, an oasis and nature reserve that was listed in the

Haaretz newspaper in 2016 as one of the most popular nature sites in

the country

Back to the hotel for some free time

Pre-dinner drinks at the hotel and a chance for us to share our best memories

of the Mission
