What is Lead Poisoning?Lead Poisoning is one of the most common health hazards for people in India today.
It is caused by exposure to lead that is either eaten or breathed accidentally in the form of dust
As per medical practitioners, a level of 10 mcg/DL or greater is considered lead poisoning.

Lead Poisoning occurs due to the presence of too much lead in the body, which happens when you are exposed to Paint that has lead in it.

The largest source of lead is paint manufactured and the dust created when it decays; for e.g. Paint used for interior and exterior of homes, playground equipment, Farm machinery and toys etc.

Children are at greater risk of lead poisoning because their small bodies absorb more lead than adult bodies do. The lead hurts them more because they are still growing.
Lead often targets the developing brain and nervous system.
