Buyer PersonasWhat they are

Why they are important Examples

What is a Buyer Persona?According to Hubspot a buyer persona is a semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer based on market research and real data about your existing customers. When creating your buyer persona(s), consider including customer demographics, behavior patterns, motivations, and goals. The more detailed you are, the better.

Why are they important? That's easy! You need to know who you want to talk to before you start looking for them. Buyer personas make it easier to plan campaigns, forecast costs and answer other questions when it comes to your marketing plan. This is not just for Facebook ads but it does play a big part in them so we should look at some examples.

Buyer Personas - Examples

Facebook AppearancePresentation is Key

Facebook AppearanceThink about it like this: if you were getting dressed to go to work would you knowingly (some of us get dressed in the dark….I hope #dontfront) put on a wrinkled or stained shirt or pair of pants? The answer is and should always be no. It’s because by now you have learned the power of both a good first impression and your presentation. The SAME concept applies to your online appearance. Outdated or incomplete pages and sites plant seeds of doubt in your customers and clients minds. Why not avoid it before it happens?

Facebook Appearance - Cont. Here is a checklist with some of the things you should consider a priority when it comes to your Page and profile:

Profile picture (either your logo or a professional headshot)make sure it is the right size (180px x 180px)

Cover photo (custom banner or wide angle picture) make sure it is the right size (851px x 315px)

About section (Fill out all sections the Overview, Page Info and Welcome Note categories)

Make sure to post at least once a day (You don't know when your clients or customers will land on your Facebook Page but you want to try to make it look like you were just there)

Organic vs. PaidFacebook Page

Facebook Group Facebook Ads

Organic - Facebook PageA Facebook Page is a public profile specifically created for businesses, brands, celebrities, causes, and other organizations. Unlike personal profiles, pages do not gain "friends," but "fans" - which are people who choose to "like" a page. (if you are friends with me on Facebook it might not feel like you choose to because I invite EVERYBODY to like my Page) #justsaying

Facebook Pages - Manage/Follow Up

Organic - Facebook GroupsFacebook Groups make it easy to connect with specific sets of people, like family, teammates, coworkers, potential clients and/or previous (forever) clients. Groups are dedicated spaces where you can share updates, photos or documents and message other group members.

Facebook Groups - You’re doing it wrong

With that being said, if you are already in a group or several groups but you are only in real estate related or referral groups you are missing the mark. Ask yourself this simple question when you consider the groups you spend more time in: “how may people in this group can benefit from my services?” Yes, you provide great service but another realtor is probably thinking the same about their own service. Let’s go over some ideas for Facebook groups that aren't as saturated with competition.

Facebook Groups - Examples

• Neighborhood/Subdivision Group

• Local Charity Group

• Mentor Group

• Hobby Group

• School Group

• Local professionals Group

• Greenville Sunsets Group

Organic - What should I postIf you didn't catch my slide deck Social Media - and what to do with it you can find it here. In it I discuss various sources of content and ideas for posts. There are hundreds of ways you can use social media, using it for business is no different. The more successful social media marketers develop a recurring theme to most, if not all, of their posts.

Paid - Facebook AdsThis part of the class is interactive and will be done in real-time. If you already have a Facebook Page please log in as your Page. If not you can follow along but some of the screens will look different for you. We are going to create several ads including advertising an open house, promoting your Page, clicks to your landing pages, clicks to your website and several others.
