•Every hospital should have adrug store for the purposeof stocking and distributing the drugs and medicines to various department.

• Stores are sub- organisation in hospital where materials obtained are held in abeyance till inspected, approved and stocked.

•Racks are used having partitions.

•Costly items are stored in closed bins.

•Located on the ground floor.

•Have fire extinguishers.

•Capsules, Tablets, liquid dosage form and Injections etc.•Antibodies, Vitamins(15 C-20 C)are stored in refrigerator.•POISONS are stored in separate closed rack.

•Alcohol containing preparations.

•Narcotics and psychotropic substances are stored under lock and key.
