CALENDAR
Good afternoon everyone, It is our last newsletter for the term! I’d like to use this as another opportunity to thank you all for your contributions to making Lavington Public School a truly great place to be. It is this way, due to the contributions from all of our students, parents, carers, volunteers and staff. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to lead and manage Lavington Public School, as your Principal. I’d also like to formally wish Helen Jervois and Ann Tipping well in retirement. Their service to the students of Public Education has been extraordinary! Time to announce some of our teaching teams for 2019: On Year 1/2 we have:
• Mrs Nicole Jory • Mrs Jacinta Clarke • Miss Elizabeth Butcher • Miss Samantha Brown • Mrs Vicki Gilchrist
Mrs Gilchrist is coming to us from St Johns Primary School in Jindera. Vicki has a wealth of knowledge and experience and comes highly recommended. I look forward to welcoming her to our staff and the impact she will have on her new group of students. …and Year 5/6 teachers will be:
• Mr Jason Hallandale • Miss Bianca Dunn and Mrs Erin Bullman • Ms Aana Nicol • Miss Kylie Dawson.
Some other changes you will see in 2019, will include Mr Jarrod Lyons teaching PDHPE across K-6 and Mrs Lisa Denton teaching Digital Technologies across K-6. I can’t wait to see some of the learning here! We will also be introducing Jo Kearney into our office and we will also be welcoming a Business Manager to our team. But no announcements on that one just yet. That can be a surprise upon your return. Have a well-earned break everyone. Enjoy spending time with those you care about! See you all soon! Brett
