A wide variety of living room and homeware items and deliverables were produced as design proposals for the Laura Ashley Spring / Summer 2013 Home Interiors Collection range.

Original, hand-rendered watercolour images were designed by collaborative design partner, Steph Lawson, to contextualise the range in a professional and visually appropriate surface pattern and textile designs to be positioned alongside existing archived and contemporary Laura Ashley living room and homeware collections.

B R A N D S P E C I F I C A T I O N S

The font, Caslon, in various weights, is utilised across the editorial and promotional range, alongside the existing Laura Ashley brand logo, capitalised for headers and advertisements for a bold, yet classic elegance.

Caslon was selected as it represents heritage,often referred to as the first typeface of British origins, alongside the quintessentially British brand of which Laura Ashley is regarded.

Applied in reversed-out white over colour imagery, or brand colour #AC1743 (as shown above).

An invitation design and printed produced for the proposed Collection Preview Event at the Laura Ashley Stratford-upon-Avon flagship store, with soft light overlay of the watercolour flower image repeat pattern, alluding to the “preview” element of the event, along with a die cut fold to add interest and quality finish.

Along with this, a proposed lookbook, also designed for the event, cataloguing prices of products with in situ imagery, typographic detail, and full bleed watercolour repeat pattern imagery, providing a “swatch” of the patterns and design available throughout the product range.
