Swiss Family Robinson - journey with the Robinson family as they make their home on a deserted island. Pilgrim Boy - travel along with nine year-old Edward as he journeys from Holland across the Atlantic to the New World. Secret in the Maple Tree - change is a constant theme in life, and Hilda has to learn how to adjust. Pilgrim’s Progress - introducing students to the classics with John Bunyan’s brilliant allegory depicting the trials and triumphs that every Christian goes through. SPELLING Spelling and Poetry 3 gives students 34 spelling lists complete with vocabulary words with definitions and implementation exercises. Eight poems are also included in this textbook to help students appreciate the beauty of language and literary value of poetry. GRAMMAR Language 3 furthers students’ knowledge of capitalization and punctuation as he/she improves sentence writing. Students are introduced to nouns, verbs, and adjectives while learning all 8 parts of speech. WRITING The Cursive Writing Skillbook emphasizes correct letter formation, spacing, proportion, and slant through writing exercises such as writing Bible verses, practicing phonics, and completing creative writing pieces. MATH Saxon Students learn concepts such as whole number concepts and computations; arithmetic algorithms; geometry and measurement; elapsed time; fractions; decimals and percents; powers and roots; estimation; patterns and sequences; congruency and similarity; and statistics and probability.
