Customer Due Diligence: Customer Due Diligence Programme is to implement a more

enhanced global Customer Due Diligence standard for all customers to enable HSBC to prevent individuals and entities from using its facilities for the purposes of financial crime. More specifically, the Customer Due Diligence Programme aims to: Ensure KYC is completed globally, consistently and to the highest standard, through clearly defined CDD procedures. CDD standards would apply to customers Protect the bank from those seeking to use Bank services to evade their taxation liabilities. Define and implement a Customer Selection and Exit Management framework.

Establishing Risk Rating: ERR is one of the Project that falls under the CDD Program, which in turn is an enterprise-wide initiative to implement the HSBC global Anti-Money Laundering
