Objective:● planning and monitoring via GPS
of the 32 special lines dedicatedto passenger transport duringthe Olympic games in Beijing.
The project, “evolution” of the above-mentioned ITS - TAP, includes:● creation of the system to be set up

Project objective:● Propose the management requirements for the Shanghai EXPO public
transport system (P.T.), establish the EXPO P.T. ITS structure, study thesystem design and critical technologies.
Research content:● Phase 1: Analysis:
○ Transport demand analysis and the general structure of EXPO P.T. ITS.○ P.T. lines classification and management requirement analysis.○ Investigation of critical technologies and integration mode for EXPO P.T. ITS.
● Phase 2: Definition:○ Survey of the current status of PT ITS in Shanghai.○ Gap analysis compared to Phase 1 models.○ Investigation of design method and specifications for the facilities, equipment,
governance of EXPO PT ITS.○ Implementation scheme.
