Transcript of Kroc Center Chicago Summer Program Guide 2015
Dear MeMbers anD Guests:Summer in Chicago is a beautiful time of year and a great time to enjoy all of the things that Chicago has to offer: the lakefront, the zoos, the parks, the lights and yes, the Kroc Center Chicago. Flying into Chicago at night is truly beautiful, you come from the darkness of Lake Michigan and then “BAM”, you see the lights of Chicago, as if coming out of nowhere.
The Kroc Center has been described as a “Beacon of Light”; you come down 119th street and then, “BAM”, as if out of nowhere, Kroc Center Chicago beams with light and activities for everyone who will come through its doors. It provides a light to your health, your talents, your children and their future.
I challenge you in these summer months to take advantage of the classes, the facilities and the outdoor venues, to enjoy the summer and discover what God continues to have in store for you. The options are limitless on the light we would like to shed on you this summer; from membership benefits, to the Kroc Anniversary Celebration and Health Fair, to hosting your own family reunion here!
The Bible tells us in Matthew 5:14 &16, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” We would like you to become a part of The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Chicago, let us help to keep your light shining this summer!
blessings – Major David Harvey & Major Darlene Harvey
