คุณประเสริฐ ขาวกิจไพศาล อดีตนายกเทศมนตรีเมืองกะทู หรือที่หลาย ๆ คนรูจักกันดีในนามของ “กํานันอาน” ผูที่ไดรับมรดกตกทอดเชื้อเบาหวานจากบรรพบุรุษ ซึ่งยากที่จะปฏิเสธได ประกอบกับการใชชีวิตในการเขาสังคม การดื่มสังสรรค และการทํางานอยางหนัก ทําใหมีเวลาในการดูแลสุขภาพคอนขางนอย เปนเวลาหลายป สงผลใหโรครายคุกคามจนถึงขนาดตองเขาหองผาตัดแบบฉุกเฉิน จนแทบจะเอาชีวิตไมรอด

Mr.Shayut Siripong (Sak), owner of Maksong Hotel and Maksong Restaurant told that initially his business started with Maksong Hotel which its structure and design of ac-commodation was inspired by Bali’s architectures and styles. Previously our team had chance to visit there and touched by its harmony of Balinese architectural beauty and tropical feel. In every corner was surrounded by plants; unique ambience and rare to fi nd the same in any other places in Phuket.

One of our team had ever inquired about the origin of “Maksong” named for his hotel and restaurant. He explained he just wanted something sound interesting and differ-

ent to others. In fact the part of accommodation was established for years ago but the restaurant was just built and launched recently; primary purpose is to facilitate and convenient in-house visi-tors without taking a long ride to outside sources.

Khun Sak said he was lucky that he got an architect specialist in Balinese style who could create a perfect combination for Maksong Restaurant. Signature menus of his kitchen is Pork Leg in Red Sauce, Stewed Pork Leg, Stir-Fried Squid with Salted Egg, Hot and Sour Curry, Breakfast, Dim Sum, Chinese Herbal Soup and many others in line for selection. The capacity of the restaurant can contain 300 people and can offer party arrangement of more than 30 people for both in request of buffet and a-la-carte. Its highlight is the fi ne mélange of food taste, cleanness and reasonable prices

starting from 30 baht. Live entertainment can be organized once a month. Actually he targeted in tour groups but his true ambition is to make his place renowned for architectural and natural beauty. Not only the accommodation and foods are provided but Maksong also offer spa retreat. Khun Sak added this should warmly compliment to Khun Jiroj, the important architect and designer of this project; who admires Bali style and wishes to express how the true Bali and its ambience re-ally are. อาจารยสุชาติ หนุมนอย เจาของ บานสวน รีสอรท ไดบอกกับทีมงานวา แรกเริ่มนั้น อาจารยสุชาติรับราชการครู แลวคิดวาพอมีที่ทางวางอยู เราจะทําอยางไรใหพัฒนาและตอยอดไวใหลูกหลาน ประกอบกับตัวเองเปนคนชอบธรรมชาติ ชอบแนวคิดดานปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงอยูแลว ที่สําคัญ อาจารยมิไดมุงหวังเงินเปนตัวแปรสําคัญ แตกลับอยากสรางอะไรใหชุมชน จึงไดคิดทําบานสวน และคิดวาอนาคตฝรั่งคงไมเชาโรงแรมหรูๆเพียงอยางเดียว ฝรั่งนาจะชอบอะไรที่เปนธรรมชาติ จึงได เริ่มแรก ทําบานสวน ไป5 หลัง หลังจากนั้นคอยเพิ่มไปเรื่อย ๆทําแบบคอยเปนคอยไป ปจจุบันก็มีบานพัก 25 หลัง สิ่งที่เห็นไดชัดอีกอยางหนึ่งคือ อาจารยเปนคนชอบเที่ยวและชอบธรรมชาติ อาจารยอยากทําใหบานสวนที่คนอื่นไมมี ตื่นเชามาก็มีวิถีชีวิตแบบพอเพียง เนนทําธุรกิจที่ทําแลวสบายใจบน พื้นที่ 10 ไร แบงเปนฝง การเดนท และฝงวีไอพี ซึ่งรูปแบบการตกแตงก็ตกแตงตามความชอบ เนนธรรมชาติเปนสิ่งสําคัญ ลูกคาสวนใหญก็ เปนฝรั่ง 100 เปอรเซ็นตสําหรับ บานแตละหลังไมเหมือนกัน เล็กบางใหญบาง แตก็ใหความรูสึกฝอนคลาย พรอมมุมสระวายนําไวบริการใหผูมาพักรูสึกเปนครอบครัวเดียวกัน ทางดาน แนวคิดของอาจารย นั้นนาชื่นชมมากอาจารยบอกกับเราวาตัวเองไมใชนักธุรกิจ แตทําเพื่อความสบายใจ ไมเนนเรื่องเงิน สิ่งที่ไดรับคือความสุขที่เห็นคนอื่นไดมาพักผอนทามกลางสิ่งแวดลอมที่ดีๆในสวนลูกคาที่มาพักเต็มตลอดเพราะราคาไมแพงอยางที่คิดราคาเหมือนกันทั้งคนไทยและชาวตางชาติ ฉะนั้นจะหนาโลซีชั่น หรือไฮซีชั่นราคาก็ไมแพงไปจากนี้ หองหลังเล็กเพียง 1,000 บาท สิ่งอํานวยความสะดวกในหองมีพรอม การบริหารกิจการก็เนนแบบครอบครัว บริหารจัดการกันเอง อาจารยฝากเชิญชวนใหเขามาพักกันมากๆทีมงานเองแวะเวียนกันไปแลวก็รูสึกหายใจเต็มปอดเพราะธรรมชาติที่หอมลอม แมกไมที่เขียวขจี บวกกับรอยยิ้มและความเปนเองของ คุณลุงสุชาติ อยางไรก็ตามก็ใหนักทองเทียวจะคนไทยหรือชาวตางชาติก็แลวแตไปลองพักที่บานสวนกันดูไมแนวา ที่นี่อาจจะเปนที่พักที่เยี่ยมยอดกวาโรงแรมระดับ 5 ดาวก็เปนได

A popular attraction destination for visitors is to pay hom-age to the Goddess Lin Mo at A-Ma Temple which is consid-erably as one of the landmarks of Macau, situated on the Barra Hill at the southwest tip of the Macau Peninsula. It

was constructed to commemorate Mazu, the sacred sea goddess. Inside the temple found big stone carved in shape of ancient Chinese junk symbolized the fi rst trace of visit by the goddess to the land of Macau. The entrance is guarded by a pair of stone lions. It’s believed that anyone who turns the magic glass ball placed in the mouth of lions to the right way for 3 times while praying their wishes will be blessed and come true.

Entering the temple and going across a gateway, you will reach the Hon-gren Hall by a winding path. Continue moving forward you will found the Hall of Benevolence, the Hall of Guanyin, Zhengjiao Chanlin (a Buddhist pavilion), each forming a small part of the well-ordered complex which sits in perfect harmony with the natural environment.

Someone had ever told that time can change everything, I think and support that’s true. The short introduction I gave doesn’t mean I am getting very old. We‘re unaware of what we had behaved or expressed sometime; for example why we could eat very bitter things, why we often share stories of our old time; do you think so? I remember I don’t like Jazz music when young be-cause it sounded sleepy and not rocking my mind

Ko Song (brother Song) Restaurant is a small and local Phuketian’s style restaurant but if you have a chance to try once, you will never forget its taste, nor do I. The place is easy to fi nd; just a few turns within the local fresh market of Phuket Municipality (right behind the market).

Actually at fi rst time I was led here by Neo Inter Photographer and surprisingly there was such a place hidden behind the market like this and

so close to our work place. So, our team has become regular customers since then.

The menu stick on the wall has such long list for selection, making us fond of yummy food. We picked to order “Pad Khanaeng Moo Grob” (Stir Fried Brussel Sprouts with Crispy Pork), “Moo Gorn Pad Sam Rod” (Minced Pork Sweet and Sour), “Tomyum Talay Nam Khon” (Seafood Spicy Soup) and another menu which our team will never miss is “Khai Jeow” (Thai Omlette) including a big bowl of hot steamed rice.

Only one word explains well how it tastes, absolutely it deserves “great” for such delicious and original taste of Phuket. If you have a chance, do not miss to try. Anyway, please be warned, there comes so many people daily. Don’t you think this means, the food taste of Ko Song is not ordinary? Bon appétit! guys…..
