NEC joins the resolution revolution NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced a new product that places the company in the vanguard of a resolution revolution that will see ultra-high definition (UHD) available on smaller, more affordable displays.

The MultiSync V554Q 55” model is the latest addition to NEC’s portfolio of UHD displays which the firm says provides the ultimate in pixel-free viewing experiences. UHD has many advantages over Full HD, including greatly increased pixel density (3,840 x 2,160 against 1,920 x 1,080 for Full HD) as well as providing effortless readability from both long and short viewing distances. HP and Siemens advance digital manufacturingSiemens and HP are to expand their integrated additive manufacturing (AM) solution. The expanded AM solution integrates hardware, software, data intelligence and services to optimise the efficiency of the entire manufacturing process, from design and simulation through production planning, execution, quality and control.
