Preface

This guide includes instructions configuring Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility (KAFTA) 1.1 to run on Insight5.x. Read this guide completely before using the software. This guide was written with the assumption thatyou have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows and network configurations.

Note You can upgrade Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 to Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.2 (KofaxAnalytics for TotalAgility 1.2 uses Insight 5.x). However, you can also configure Kofax Analytics forTotalAgility 1.1 to run on Insight 5.x without upgrading to Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.2. To upgradeKofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 to Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.2, see the documents in the KofaxAnalytics for TotalAgility 1.2 product.

Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility Running Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 on Insight 5.x Guide

Use the tools that Kofax provides for researching and identifying issues. For example, use the Kofaxsupport site to search for answers and messages, keywords, and product issues. To access the KofaxSupport page, go to www.kofax.com/support.

The Kofax support page provides:• Product information and release news.

Click a product family, select a product, and select a version number.• Downloadable product documentation.

Click a product family, select a product, and click Documentation.• Access to product knowledge bases.

Click Knowledge Base.• Access to the Kofax Customer Portal (for eligible customers).

Click Account Management and log in.• Access to support tools.

Click Tools and select the tool to use.• Information about the support commitment for Kofax products.

Overview

Perform the following steps for running Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 on Insight 5.x.1. On the server where Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 is installed, install Insight 5.x.2. Upgrade the Insight 4.3.1 projects to Insight 5.x. See Upgrading Insight 4.3.1 Projects to Insight 5.x.3. Apply the Fix Pack for Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1.0.1. See Applying the Fix Pack for Kofax

Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1.0.1.4. Load the data in Insight 5.x. See Loading the Data in Insight 5.x.

Note You can run Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 on Insight 5.x without upgrading to KofaxAnalytics for TotalAgility 1.2. by applying Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1.0.1 fix pack over theexisting Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1. See Applying the Fix Pack for Kofax Analytics forTotalAgility 1.1.0.1 and Loading the Data in Insight 5.x.

Running Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 onInsight 5.x

Prerequisites:• Get the New License

New license is required for product upgrade, therefore before installing Insight 5.x, ensure that youhave a new Insight 5 license for Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility. Existing customers must contact Kofaxto obtain the new Insight 5 license that supports Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility.To obtain a license, contact the Kofax Sales group in your region.

• Install Insight 5.x and add the Insight 5 license.Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 should be previously installed on your machine. Install AltosoftInsight 5.x to upgrade your existing Insight 4.3.1 system. Once upgraded, add the Insight 5 license. SeeAltosoft Insight5.x Installation Guide, for upgrading the existing Insight 4.3.1.

Note You can obtain the latest Insight 5.x from Kofax downloads.

• Get the Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1.0.1 Fix PackTo run Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 on Insight 5.x, you need Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility fixpack.

Upgrading Insight 4.3.1 Projects to Insight 5.x1. Log on to Insight 5.x administrator application.2. On the Actions tab, set the Authentication Method to HTTP Request.

3. On the Documents tree, click Projects > KAFTA.

Note If you upgrade databases, note down the connection strings of all the data sources in theproject as the strings may get overwritten. You need to enter the strings or verify that they arecorrect.

4. On the Update Confirmation message, click Yes and wait for the conversion to complete. This maytake several minutes.

5. On the Documents tree, click Projects > KAFTA > Data DB and verify whether the connection iscorrect.

6. Verify the connections for ReportingDB and TotalAgilityDB.

7. On the Documents tree, click Connections > TotalAgilityDB and verify whether the connection toTotalAgility is correct.

8. To verify the roles, on the Documents tree click Users and do either of the following:• Click Kta and select the check box for KTA Role.• Click Ktaadmin and select the check box for KTA Admin Role.

9. Use the following URLs to access Insight where host is the host name or IP address and Port is theTCP port :• Administrator Tool: host:port/insight/admin.• Insight Studio: host:port/insight/studio.• Default View: host:port/insight/View.• Default View in Silverlight : host:port/insight/Viewer.• Data Loader: host:port/insight/dataload.

Note Edit the rules for URLs using URL Rewrite module before you can use the old links toaccess Insight. Download and install URL Rewrite module if it is not installed on your computerfrom the following location:http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=7435.

10. Open the IIS Manager.11. Select the Default website.12. Double-click URL Rewrite.

1. Click Add Rule(s).

2. In the Add Rule(s) window, click Blank Rule and click OK.

3. In the Edit Inbound Rule window, do the following:

1. In the Name box, enter the rule name, for example, Studio.

2. In the Pattern box, enter http([a-z]*)://([0-9a-z:.]+)/(designer)(.*) .

3. On the Action Type list, select Redirect.

4. In the Redirect URL box, enter the following URL: http{R:1}://{R:2}/Insight/studio{R:4}.

13. Right click in the Edit Inbound Rule window. On the Actions list, click Apply.

14. Make the required changes and click Back to Rules.

15. Similarly, create three more rules (see Step 6 to 9) using the following values:

16. Close IIS manager.

Applying the Fix Pack for Kofax Analytics forTotalAgility 1.1.0.1

1. Extract the fix pack .zip file.2. Follow the instructions in the readme file to apply the fix pack.

Loading the Data in Insight 5.x

1. Open the Insight Studio.2. Navigate to Execution Plans and select 10 Minute execution Plan.3. Click Execute Batch File and ensure the path in the File box is correct. This path should coincide

with the path where ConsolidatedReporting directory is located. Change the path and save if needed.4. Click Data Load.

5. In the Date Range window, select From date as Beginning of times (01/01/1900).

The status message appears in the Event column informing the loading of data is success.6. Repeat the procedure from step 2 to 5 for Hourly Execution Plan.

Now Kofax Analytics for TotalAgility 1.1 is ready for use in Insight 5.x.7. Perform the following steps if needed:
