Our charcoal is manufactured to be high in quality and in its purest form. It is produced from natural apple tree wood.

Production Land Bank And Capacity

KIC currently owns a land bank of 1400 hectares of apple plantations, in three major locations, Volchansk, Merchik and Kupiansk (Kharkiv Region).

The land bank has an extensive capacity equivalent of 17,000 tons of charcoal to be produced using standard manufacturing techniques.

The burning time can also be altered with respect to the regulation requirements and characteristics of the product, like carbon levels or ash and volatile content.

Effective 700°C temperature minimizes the content of poisonous impurities including sulfur and hard metals.

Our Facility includes mobile technology that sends alerts to our furnace operators when there are any small changes in temperature inside the furnace.

Our products are entirely organic and harmless for the end users. Our end products are free from chemical additives. Moreover, supporting pure and unpolluted production, the apple gardens have not been sprayed with any chemical or preservative for more than 15 years.

For quality assurance, we have two levels of sorting, Automatic and Manual to ensure only big and well shaped pieces are forwarded for packaging. The average size of each piece is 8x5 cm.

onBy December 1991, Soviet Union split into many sovereign states leaving Ukrainian fruit industry in shambles due to underinvestment. What once used to be a thriving fruit industry now became a luxury that nobody was willing to put their money in. According to a safe estimate, 200,000 hectares of abandoned apple orchards turned into wastelands.

Amidst fruit industry’s decline, KIC Charcoal made it a goal to replace each abandoned tree with a new one. This resulted in greater fruit production and new employment opportunities for locals. KIC Charcoal is striving to extend the goal with next step being restoring traditional lifestyle of locals and stalling urbanization which hurts earning potential of rural labours.
