I hope this year will find you and your families being drawn deeper into the lives of Jesus and His Church. How is this to happen you might ask? The answer, as always, lies not in our actions but in those of God. God is offering us all the grace to live the life he wants us to live through the sacraments of His Church and the life of prayer. To that end, perhaps this is the year when we start to focus not so much on doing things, but rather entering into conversation with God, letting Him re- veal to us what it is He wants us to be. This is in line with a philosophic prin- ciple that doing flows from being, and not the other way around; we can never hope to do the will of God in our life if we are not first the person who He created us to be. So let us have a renewed focus on our prayer and spiritual lives this year, setting aside time every day where all we “do” is be silent in the presence of the Lord. This can be in an adoration chapel, in our rooms, or some other quiet spot. In this time let us lay our lives before the Lord, asking Him that He would form us into the persons that He created us to be. May you and your families all have a Brother Knights and families, I hope this message finds you all well as we continue to celebrate the Christmas season and welcome the New Year. Have You Insured Your Most Valuable Asset?

Is your income protected if you become sick or injured and cannot work? Your abil-ity to work and earn an in-come is your most valuable asset. Yet a disability could prevent you from earning that income. Just one year of a disability could eliminate your savings.

Income Armor, an individual disabil-ity income insurance product from the Knights of Columbus, should be a key part of your overall financial plan and family’s protection. If you think full in-come replacement is too costly, at least consider a supplemental plan such as a “GUM” plan, which would cover Gro-ceries, Utilities and the Mortgage in the event you were off work. And if you have coverage at work, you should consider a supplemental plan to make up for the shortfall that these plans entail.

If you are ill or injured, Income Ar-mor provides tax-free monthly benefits to help you meet living expenses and maintain you and your family’s standard of living. Your monthly benefits help you pay your mortgage and other monthly bills, while your savings and retirement assets remain intact.

In short, if you have a job and don’t have a way to protect that paycheck, you should seriously consider Income Armor today. I look forward to meeting with you.
