By Rail:-

Kancheepuram railway station is on the Chennai Egmore – Chengalpattu - Arakkonam section of the Southern Railways. Chennai Central Railway Station connects Tamilnadu with other parts of India. There are many trains connecting Chennai with almost all parts of India.

Chennai Egmore Railway Station connects Chennai with other parts of Tamilnadu. Train journey from Chennai Egmore is the ideal way to reach Kancheepuram and other many destinations within Tamilnadu which are famous for its temple architecture.

By Road:-

Well connected by roads, the temple is situated at a distance of 80 Kms from Chennai on NH45. Travelling time by car is about one and half hours only. There are frequent (every 20 minutes)state run buses to Kancheepuram form Chennai Koyambedu Moffussil Bus Terminus (CMBT)and the travel times is about two and half hours only.
