OFFICIAL PROGRAM
MESSAGE FOR SENIOR’S FESTIVAL 2019 FROM THE MAYOR
Love Your Life!
That’s this year’s theme for Senior’s Week.
With so many fantastic activities planned for Senior’s Week this year, who wouldn’t love their life?
It’s the opportunities for interaction with other people that really are what life is all about so I encourage as many people as possible to embrace this fun filled week.
If you know someone who’s a bit down in the dumps or stuck at home, make that extra effort and encourage them to come out with you and get involved. It’s those little things we do for others that really make the world of difference.
The programme is once again, bursting at the seams with opportunities for every taste and interest.
From a range of gentle exercise activities at our Recreation and Aquatic Centre to “The Art of Aging Exhibition” at the Library. The programme provides something for everyone.
You might prefer a classic movie and morning tea at our gloriously refurbished Athenium Theatre. If you haven’t seen this jewel in the Junee Crown yet, you really are missing out.
For those who like to get out and about, there’s a bus trip to Albury for a great day of entertainment.
Don’t forget too, that our cheery and willing volunteers at Junee Community Transport are keen and ready to pick you up from home to get you to as many of these events as you choose to attend.
So grab your bag, meet with a friend, sit down with a cuppa and plan your Senior’s Week activities now. Love your life and make it a life you love!
Junee Mayor
Cr Neil Smith
