The SR 712 BM Welding Tractor: Versatile,
Functional design
The modern SR 712 BM welding tractor is especiallyremarkable due to its functionality as carrier machinefor the equipment necessary for pipeline welding.
The standard diesel engine of the welding tractor isused for driving the welding generator, the hydrauliccrane and the air compressor an additional dieselengine is not necessary for this purpose. Thus noiseemissions are reduced, fuel consumption made moreefficient and maintenance work on additional com-ponents is eliminated.
The long tracks and the high ground clearance alsomake it possible to use the machine in difficult groundconditions optimally. The added, extremely low groundpressure guarantees safe operation even on softground, as is especially the case on pipeline sites.
Easy and safe operation
One decisive aspect when operating a crawler welder
is easy control. Above all the hydrostatic travel driveis remarkable due to its single lever control. Thislever controls all travel movements of the machine.
Control of the generator, loading crane as well as thecompressor are located next to the operators seat.The operator can concentrate fully on the work areafrom the operators seat and can guarantee safehandling of the machine even at construction siteswith tight quarters.
Single joystick control as well asthe possibilities of a canopy and afully enclosed cab make theLiebherr operator post remarkable.
Control of the loadingcrane and the compres-sor is ergonomicallylocated next to theoperators seat.
