Chemical VS Physical Change

Learning GoalToday, we will identify a change as either a

chemical or physical change.

Physical PropertyPhysical Property: A physical property can be

measured or observed without changing it.

Physical ChangePhysical Change- Change in which the

matter's physical appearance is altered, but composition remains unchanged. 

Chemical PropertyChemical Property: A property that can be

observed by changing the chemical identity of the substance

Examples: metals react with water; Paper's ability to burn

Chemical ChangeChemical Change: Change in which one or

more kinds of matter are transformed to new kinds of matter with altered compositions (or Chemical Reaction).
