JOBS OF INTEREST
FORESTRY• What they do- Foresters establish short-and long term plans for
management of forest lands and forest resources. They plant trees and help put out forest fires.
• What they need to know- Biology, English language, Mathmatics, Administration and management, and computers and electronics.
• Need to be able to do- monitoring, speaking, judgment and decision making, complex problem solving, critical thinking, system analysis.
• 4 years of education are required.
• The 2011 annual average was $45,890.
BIOLOGIST• What they do- They collect and analyze biological data about relation ships
among and between organism's and their environment. They program and use computers to store, process, and analyze data. They cultivate, breed, and aquatic life such as lobsters, clams, or fish.
• They need to know- Biology, Chemistry, English language, Mathmatics, and Computers and Electronics.
• They need to know how to do- Science, Reading comprehension, Active listening, Complex problem solving, Mathmatics, and Speaking.
• 5 years of education required.
ZOOLOGISTS AND WILDLIFE BIOLOGISTS
• They study animals in their natural environment. They Inventory or estimate plant and wildlife populations. Coordinate programs to control the out break of wildlife diseases. The analyze characteristics of animals to identify and classify them.
• Things they need to know- Biology, English language, Mathmatics, Computer and Electronics.
ZOOLOGISTS AND WILDLIFE BIOLOGISTS• Things they need to be able to do- Science, Writing, Reading
Comprehension, Critical Thinking, Speaking, Judgment and Decision making.
• They need 5 years of education.
