Inspire the next generation of Modern Apprentices
Get involved in Skills Development Scotland's Learning Through Work Week
promoting MA's to school pupils - Nov 2015
Between 16 and 20 November 2015, Skills Development Scotland is planning events in secondary schools across Scotland to highlight the benefits of Modern Apprenticeships and work-based learning - Learning Through Work Week.
And SDS would like you, the employers you work with and their Modern Apprentices to get involved.
SDS want to hear from training providers who can partner with their employer contacts to visit a local school and help inform and excite pupils about Modern Apprenticeships. Ideally the employer will be joined by one or more of their Modern Apprentices.
This is an ideal chance to talk directly to pupils about Modern Apprenticeship opportunities, as well as to build relationships with schools in your area.
To get involved, simply fill in this short form and a member of the SDS team will be in
touch.

£1.3 million extra employment support
Support to help young people into jobs.
The Community Jobs Scotland scheme has received an additional £1.3 million
from the Scottish Government to help more people with barriers to
employment into jobs.
The funding will create 100 additional places that will support 50 early service
leavers from the forces and 50 young people with convictions aged 25 to 29 to
take up opportunities for up to 12 months.
The age range for vulnerable groups to access the programme will also be
extended from 24 to 29.
Community Jobs Scotland is delivered on behalf of the Scottish Government by
the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and has already
received £6.1 million in 2015/16 to help young people into employment with
