This party of eight members left Kathmandu for Hangzhou

on 1 December. They had to break their journey in

Lhasa and Chengdu and were nally in Hangzhou on 3

December, where they stayed in Hotel Zhejiang until 6

    Trip to Changu and

    Nagarkot

29 December 2012 was very special for

the students who longingly look for outdoor

pursuits. The entire students of First Semester

Section B along with Kishor Chitrakar,

Travel & Tourism teacher, Rudra Limbu,

Pabitra Shah, and Soni Basnet went on a

trip to Changu and Nagarkot. The trip was

organized by Kishor Chitrakar, who was also

a trip leader. Changu and Nargarkot have

always attracted people within and outside

the country. The main attraction of Changu

is Changu Narayan temple, which is said to

be built by an ancient Malla King named

Mandev. Similarly, Nagarkot is a village of

scenic beauty in Bhaktapur. It is renowned for

its sunrise view of the Himalaya.

After a smooth and comfortable ride, the bus

carrying the party of the students and staff

pulled in in front of the Hotel Greenland at

Sallaghari in Bhaktapur, where they had

good buffet-style breakfast. Again the bustook the party to Changu, where they visited

    ancient, historical Changu Narayan temple

situated on a high hilltop, and spent some

    time observing carvings, sculptures, paintings,

and inscriptions that ran across the stones

and walls of the temple. The students were

also given some useful information related to

    the temple.

From Changu everyone hiked to Telkot. The

hiking lasted for nearly three hours. Many

enjoyed it while there were also a few who

grumbled and muttered silent stream of

abuse for having to walk. The sight of the

bus at Telkot was a welcome relief to almost

all in the party. And then the bus drove them

to Nargakot, the nal destination. Absorbing

natural scenic beauty of Nagarkot, everyone

in the party immensely enjoyed themselves

being there. What everyone enjoyed the

    most there was their meal.

For students, school can be a stressful experience. Study,

assignments, tests, exams, peer pressure, future, familyand so on can be easy cause of stress for students.

Constant stress not only becomes the reason for bad

performance, but also can develop serious illnesses. In

situation like this, a proper means of stress management

can be a great help to students. Then what could be this

    proper means of stress management?

The students who were struggling to cope with stress had

a relief when the fourth semester students organized Light

Meditation Workshop on 28 December. At the behest of

participants in her workshop was a completely new and

    joyful experience to her.
