Role: Piping Engineer/SupervisorResponsibilities

1. Prepare daily reports of work progress and man power utilization.2. Co-ordinate with the sub contractors to achieve the targets and schedule set by the planning.3. Issue the work permits ensuring HSE requirements.4. Conduct safety walk through in the site in co-ordination with the safety department on weekly basis.5. Supervision of all piping works and ensures safety and quality standards of the client.6. Inspection and approval of all the QA/QC submittals of the subcontractor.7. To study the isometric drawing received from the clients and to identify the pipe lines and carry out the inspection

work.8. Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that they are properly identified and valves are installed in accordance

with flow direction.9. Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the

pipe support details.10. Monitoring the QA/QC Documentation of the subcontractors and ensure that all the activities are incorporated to their system

on daily basis and can be traced according to our requirements.11. Supervise and Inspection of cold and hot insulation, cladding on piping and equipments.12. Line check to verify the use of correct material fittings, valves, and supports, prior to hydro test and prepare punch list for

incomplete works, check and closing after the work is done.13. Carry out Project Engineering activities related to the project's multidisciplinary nature.14. Supervision of workshop activities for pre-fabrication of associated piping work.15. Experience in construction, installation, commissioning and start-up of process machinery.16. Monitoring of Erection of Piping and related Structural work17. Co-ordination with Materials Department for issue and delivery.18. Checking for quality control.19. Liaison work with sub contractors and supporting staff20. Supervision of Piping Fabrication21. Work Scheduling22. Inspection of the work to adhere to strict Quality Maintenance.23. Controlling & monitoring of resources, Manpower, Materials and Equipment etc.24. Planning of Work and scheduling25. Work permit management for safe working26. Ensuring proper Safety systems at the work place27. Records keeping & File work for administrative purpose28. Monitoring of Erection of Piping and related Structural works.29. Co-ordination with Materials Department for issue and delivery.30. Checking for quality control.31. Liaison work with sub contractors and supporting staff32. Scheduling of work prioritizing in sequential order

33. Planning & Allocating of Manpower, Materials & Equipments34. Planning of Work and scheduling35. Liaison with Quality Control Personnel for inspection and ensuring error - free36. Supervision of Piping Pre – Fabrication, Erection, Hydro – Testing & Commissioning37. Supervision of Pipe Stringing, Welding, Lowering, Hot – Tapping etc38. Supervision of Boiler Structure and Piping Erection39. Coordination of Tank construction works40. Work Permit Management for Safe working41. Inspection of the work to adhere to strict Quality Maintenance42. Overseeing of Safety Management System at the work place43. Handling of Complete Documentation work & Record Keeping44. Assists the Const: Manager in the supervising and monitoring of work execution at site.45. Responsible of Contractors supply material as per Construction documents.46. Review/approve the project schedule and mobilization plan47. Review Method Statements, rigging plan, facilitate TRAs,48. Liaise with operations, safety, QA/QC for smooth functioning of SD jobs49. Foresee constructability difficulties and prepare a solution.

50. Participate in daily review meeting and report progress/areas of concern.51. Verifies the adequacy of equipment to perform work safely. Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction contractors.52. Ensure that contractors comply with all aspects of the worksite HSE plan and policy; site regulations, permit to work and client

requirements.53. Receiving the approved drawing for fabrication.54. Preparing the fabrication schedule according to priority.55. Preparing the spool pack for traceability.56. Allocating the task according to the ability of foreman.57. Preparing the material request according to the requirement of spool.58. Inspect the pipes and piping materials as per specification.59. Visual inspection and receiving the materials from store.60. Guiding the sub –ordinate and workers regarding proper use of tools and tackles.61. Resolving field problems and liaison client under the supervision of Mechanical Engineer and process Departments.62. Adherence to construction safety and special safety requirement for working at plant.63. Allocation of jobs among various working groups.64. During the fabrication activities visual inspection of pipes and all fittings, edge preparation, fit up of the pipe, welding quality of

the pipe and D.P.T.65. Co-ordination with concerned person during fabrication & erection.66. Planning & supervision of piping fabrication.67. Checking the daily progress report.68. Reporting the Senior Engineer and construction manager regarding whole day production monitoring the front

availability.
