Engineering Manager (2005 – 2010)Facilitated the launch of new products through the coordination of all groups (Product Development, Product Testing, Process Engineering, Environmental and Graphics/Finishing) within the global Engineering System. Facilitated the development and execution of strategic and operational initiatives affecting quality, costs, and time to market of new and revised products.

Continually works toward reducing product development cycle times and incorporating those improvements into newly developed product lines.

Responsible for the planning, formulation and direction of activities concerned with new/modified products, materials or processes and the development of strategic initiatives.

Coordinates product development and production activities between sales, engineering, manufacturing and quality.

Oversees fabrication of design/test/pilot/mass production models and the analysis of test results including the development of new ideas based on product performance.

Oversees development, implementation, and maintenance of New Project Management Software for tracking project details, timelines, priorities, etc.

Oversees the implementation of methods and procedures for monitoring of projects, such as reports of findings, and project status.

Directs staff by planning and laying out work assignments, timelines and priorities. Facilitates development of capital budget expenditures required for the Engineering System. Responsible for facilitating direct communication between the Engineering System and other H&B

organizations. Representative for Engineering System in Executive Committee Meetings. Provide technical assistance for supervisors and plant processes. Oversee submittal of environmental reports, training, documentation and implementation of any new

requirements.

Process Engineer (2000 – 2005)Initial responsibilities included the technical support and improvement of existing manufacturing operations and the development of new processes as new products were introduced.

Start-up and oversight of new composite manufacturing facility including facility lay-out, equipment fabrication, process / work instructions, operator training, troubleshooting, etc.

Investigate new processes and develop preliminary process design and equipment selection. Perform feasibility, cost analysis, cycle time reduction and environmental impact studies for new

processes and improvement ideas. Review existing suppliers, processes, instrumentation and materials for possible improvements in cycle

time, efficiency and defect reduction. Support first article production using new processes and improvements and develop test procedures for

process acceptance and standardization. Provide technical assistance for supervisors on plant processes. Work with operators, supervisors and

outside vendors to determine possible cause for problems and develop solutions. Establish data collection procedures if required and analyze data for insight into cause of problems. Implement corrective actions and track results.

HBS Equipment Corporation – La Mirada, CASales / Service Manager (1995 – 2000)Initial responsibilities included the completion of cost estimates and sales proposals for a leading wet processing (plating, anodizing, etc) equipment manufacturer specializing in highly sophisticated computerized systems. Duties were expanded to include the management of the sales and service divisions including sales presentations, scheduling of estimates/proposals, development of new estimating software, scheduling of global equipment installation and repair, troubleshooting of equipment in the field using PID's (Piping and Instrument Diagrams) and creation/maintenance of a spare parts data base.
