About the CollectionJG Knitwear, by Florence Carroll is a luxury knitwear collection for women of all ages. Inspired by a void in the market for high quality jersey clothing, the brand will largely be defined by the use of knits, particularly premium silk and silk blend-ed jersey knits. Recognized for its amazing fluidity, supreme luster, and comfort, designer, Florence Carroll translates the sumptuous fabric into very simple, effortless and free flow-ing shapes that accentuate the body and highlight its beauty and movement. This is at the heart of every collection. She combines elements of chic simplicity with vibrant, vintage in-spired original prints and a bright color palette that reflect her deep connection to the coast and seaside lifestyle. The result is a lively, youthful aesthetic that is, all at once, casual and so-phisticated, modern and vintage, easy and elegant, luxurious yet relaxed. The woman who wears JG is fun, feminine, sexy and sophisti-cated ….most of all she is confident. She defines “resort” as a state mind rather than a place... The JG Collection embodies her natural enthusiasm, glamour, and lust for life.

About the DesignerJG Knitwear by Florence Carroll was born out of her life-long love of fashion and beautiful, luxurious fabrics, especially soft, sultry jersey knits. The name “JG” stands for “ jersey girl” and is a playful tribute to the state where she was born and raised , the Channel island where the beloved knits where originally made, and the signature fabric of the JG brand.Carroll credits her style to her love of the water along with fashion icons, Emilio Pucci and Halston, whose color charged graphics and sultry fabrications defined modern women in the 60’s and 70’s. Florence received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Chestnut Hill College, Chestnut Hill, PA. She then went on to receive a master’s degree in Fashion Design from Drexel University’s Nesbitt College of Design Arts in Philadelphia, PA (now called Antoinette Westphall, College of Media Arts and Design at Drexel University). She has worked for twelve years in the bridal industry strengthening her design, construction/fit, and sales and marketing skills. She is excited to move into the sportswear category with the launch of her new line. Her love of the water has drawn both her and her husband to the Connecticut coastline where they reside with their two daughters.
