Jessica Pickrell 20 Websites January 25, 2011 1. The Teachers Corner – http://theteacherscorner.net – This site allows teachers to create and construct fun learning aids like crossword puzzles, words searches, etc. It allows you to make your own or use one they have already created. Not only that but it also has worksheets you can use and other tools as well. 2. Teacher Planet – http://myteachertools.com – Allows you to make puzzles, mazes, crosswords. It also has resources for teachers like rubrics, worksheets, gradebooks, and tons more! 3. Education World – http://www.educationworld.com – This website has a ton of interesting and helpful tools for teachers, but for this section I wanted to list it because it has amazing templates teachers can use to communicate with parents. From conference planners to weekly reports, field trip permission forms, basically any kind of form you would need to send to parents you can find on this site. 4. Scholastic http://teacher.scholastic.com/homepagebuilder/index.htm – Scholastic is obviously a very well known company but I found this site even more important because it is an awesome and east way to create a classroom webpage. It is free and you can completely customize it. Basically you design it, then set up a username and password for parents. They have a form that you can print with this information to send home to your students. On the site you can list recommended books, list homework, any special announcements, basically anything!! Great tool!! 1
