JEWISH FEDERATION OF ROCKLAND COUNTY’S

COMMUNITY SHLICHATimna Mekaiten

Timna Mekaiten was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel, and graduated from the Hebrew university.

Timna worked in the scouts as a counselor and a chapter leader, and as a marketing manager for a publishing company, but most of her time was dedicated to school and volunteering. Timna has been involved in many educational projects and worked with several non-profit organizations since 9th grade.

Timna was a class commander for basic training in the navy and later became the office manager for the operation office on the same base. She led disciplined teams, ran the company schedule and taught first aid, weapon usage and safety, and the official conduct and values of the IDF.

Timna enjoys travel and hiking, theatergoing, reading and visiting springs throughout Israel. This is her second year in Rockland.

JCC Rockland represents many different things to many different people. Some think of us as a second home, a place to meet new friends, a way to stay active and healthy and a foundation for our children’s future. It is all this and more and we invite you to consider joining as a member of our Legacy Society.

Legacy Society Membership Benefits:

• You are a part of the woven fabric that is our extended family, setting an example to others that unity is an integral part of community.

• Your name will appear on the Legacy Wall, prominently located in the lobby.

• Your name will appear on the Legacy Society Page on the JCC Rockland Website.

What defines a life well lived and remembered?

The answer is simple, not what you have accumu-lated throughout your years, but rather what you have given back. Your life insurance, IRA or your estate planning is your legacy, all powerful tools for sustaining community.

This is a simple modification or addendum that will ensure our Jewish Community Center thrives for years to come. We encourage you to contact your legal or tax advisor as you begin to explore this option and we can provide you with answers for these easy methods, as well.

Make a gift of life insurance

You can contribute a larger amount to JCC Rockland than you might otherwise have thought possible with a simple change in beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy or the pur-chase of a new policy, naming JCC Rockland as the beneficiary.

Make a gift from your IRA or estate

Making a gift from your IRA or estate by including JCC Rockland as a beneficiary will encourage future generations about the importance of our Jewish heritage.

ABOUT THE WALL Of gIVINgThe Annual Wall of Giving represents hundreds of individuals, families and businesses that give to a greater good

Our stories are many; from a senior that shakes off loneliness each and every morning, knowing there is a place, a “second home” to connect with others – a wife who donates back, for the tenderness received from our staff, throughout her husband’s decline – a family fallen upon hard times, that is lifted through the generosity of others – in every instant, we are actively devoted to you; linked in every way

Please join us in continu-ing to nurture what we conceived together Listen to your heartbeat; it is the constant rhythm that calls upon you, to live your life and remember that you are a part of the whole

We are grateful to you and invite you, with open hearts, to stand and celebrate with us for our Annual Wall of Giving!
