Break and lunchtimeWe are open to all students at break and lunch and have a number of activities on offer. These include art and craft activities, games and charity events. There are also computers and a printer available for homework.

Homework clubHomework Club is open from 3.15-4.15 every day except Thursday when it closes at 4pm. All students are welcome to come and receive support with their homework. There are computers and staff available if students require any help.

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE

The Learning Resource Centre has a very diverse selection of books, with reference and fiction books available from the approximately fourteen thousand books on the shelves, with new titles being added on a regular basis. These books are aimed at not only supporting the curriculum, and reading for pleasure, but also for students wanting to go on to further education. There are many books that can be borrowed for a period of 2 weeks.

There are thirty computers that may be used before and after school, although there is a booking system for the busy lunchtime period. There is also a selection of magazines and additional activities available after school.

Accelerated Reader Scheme

We are pleased to be launching an Accelerated Reader Scheme for all year 7 pupils, to instil a passion for literature and development of good reading habits, with books for all pupil tastes and abilities.

The Learning Resource Centre is available for all school pupils and sixth form students to use, with the aim of the L.R.C staff providing a safe, supervised area for students to attend in their free time.

The Learning Resource Centre is open from:8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The 10 week Ashtanga Yoga is designed to strengthen the body, get your heart pumping and cultivate a calm focused mind.

Great for both beginners and intermediate yogis alike. Don’t worry if you’ve never done yoga before or you’re not feeling at your best. Just go at your own pace. Where you are right now is the perfect place to start. Remember, yoga is about you and what feels good just for you.

Yoga Bootcamp explores fundamental principles of yoga combined with high-intensity cardiovascular and strength training. Each class will begin with a full body warm up designed to quickly heat up the body and build agility, followed by a themed flow and finish with deep core work and a guided relaxation.

We are proud to offer LAMDA examination classes again. We have a class for everyone, from newcomers to Advanced.

These classes will develop an understanding of text, an exploration of character and motivation as well as developing key life skills in a fun environment. Students will take part in a variety of improvisation designed to develop confidence and communication skills.
