Important Issues
• Declining Membership In USA• One IEEE Concept• Infrastructure Costs
Infrastructure Costs
• Rising Infrastructure costs can affect financial viability of individual units (p.ex.,growing piece of Xplore revenues being used for infrastructure)
• Final budget responsibility should rest with volunteers
• IEEE BoD must take a harder look at initiatives with big financial impact (ex, creating ieee domain)
• IEEE must continue to be run as .org and not as .com

One IEEE Concept
• One IEEE is a very good concept and important.• We should all work together to improve services
to all our constituencies, from members, to community to mankind.
owever for One IEEE to work it is important that in each instance all stakeholders involved see some benefit in their participation. The One IEEE concept cannot be used to simply transfer resources from one unit to other or an excuse to transfer control of activities to corporate staff or to direct supervision by the BOD

One IEEE Concept
• One IEEE is a very good concept and important.• We should all work together to improve services to
all our constituencies, from members, to community to mankind.

The One IEEE concept should not be used to simply transfer resources from one unit to another or an excuse to transfer control of activities to corporate staff or to direct supervision by the BOD
One IEEE Concept (2)
• We must continue to empower IEEE units so that they are motivated to contribute to the overall good.
