Training & Development

IT Ventures offer all consultants detailed and in-depth training opportunities fromthe moment they begin their career within the company. They place all consultantson a cycle of development programme – this is a very clear 7-stage programme thatstarts from Trainee through to Director which outlines clear competency, billing andmanagement tasks to complete to progress through to director.

Management Development Programme

We also have some excellent management training. We are partnered with bothLander Associates and Elite Leaders where we put Managers through a structuredfive stage programme complete with a recognised Management qualificationaccredited by Henley Management School. We also put Senior Manager’s on theElite Foundation where you will meet with 10 other peers bi-monthly, discussrelevant topics and issues.

This training cost us in excess of £5,000 per manager so as you can see we are keento invest in the leaders within our business to ensure that we meet our specificgrowth strategy.

We also have Monday morningsales meetings, Wednesday grouptraining sessions, as well asdetailed on the job training fortrainees and Consultants. We arein the process of hiring apermanent trainer to helpsupport our growth plans and alsofor Managers to have even morehelp and support in building ateam.

In2.5 years we have only lost 2 peoplethrough handing their notice in (only 1consultant the other was back office.)

Our People

IT Ventures have presently grown to just under 20 people in the space of 3 yearsacross two office locations: Manchester and London.

Our medium term plan is to double this over the next 12-18 months, to growinternationally. We plan to be established in Sydney & Singapore in 2013 and so forambitious Consultants and Managers the opportunity is literally a global offering.

To help us achieve our goal we have acquired some of the UK’s top Board ofDirector’s these include:

John O’Sullivan – Strategic Advisor / Non-Executive ChairmanJohn was formerly a Director of Computer People who set up Best International inthe late 90’s; which grew to over £130m turnover in 2.5 years and eventually sold toSpring Group. He has subsequently established Rethink which now turnsover £85mand floated on the London Stock Exchange two years ago.

Paul Cochrane – Non-Executive Financial DirectorPaul has extensive financial experience and is an expert in merger & acquisitionbeing involved in almost 100 of these in his career – his most recent sale was toB&Q for £65million.

Ben Gostelow – Company SecretaryBen’s background was as founder of Stoves, which floated after 3 years of set-upand at its peak turned over £200m and employed 1,500 people – this wassubsequently sold to Glen Dimplex.

Shaun O’Donnell – Executive DirectorShaun has in excess of 12 years within IT Recruitment – developing into aPermanent Manager at Senitor Associates within 3 years and managing teams up to15 Consultants.Shaun moved to Connectlogic where he built a Permanent team to over 10 billingConsultants from scratch and then moved to become overall Sales Director of bothPermanent and ContractShaun is a co-founder of IT Ventures and is still very much hands-on, billing in excessof £3million in his illustrious recruitment career
