Let’s look at some common pitfalls businesses new to Twitter should avoid. Tweeting Too Much or Too Little Because tweeting is so quick and easy, some companies tweet all day long. Others miss the opportunity for engagement by not tweeting enough. The “economy of tweets” is an important consideration for a company looking for positive interaction. Spamming Your Audience Overly promotional tweets, calls to action like “buy this,” or tweeting only links to your site won’t do your business any favors. Your client base is on Twitter for engagement, not constant sales pitches. Posting company updates and promotions and nothing else will only lose followers. Managing Time Poorly Spending too much time on Twitter can hurt your business because it takes valuable time away from other work that might yield better results. While you should continue to engage, retweet, and respond, fight the urge to respond to every single tweet directed at your business as soon as it pops up. Abusing, Misusing, or Ignoring Hashtags Hashtag overuse seems like an easy mistake to avoid. But #ExtraLongHashtags- AreHardToRead, and they’re less likely to trend. Some businesses have taken to using a trending hashtag that’s irrelevant to their services to get attention. On the flip-side is ignoring hashtags. Hashtags are great when used properly, just as they’re damaging when used poorly. Not Giving Your Audience Its Due If your audience is following you on Twitter, they want to hear from you. Don’t send the message that they’re an afterthought, when they’re the reason you’re on Twitter in the first place. Your prospects may prefer communicating with you on Twitter. Not responding will lose any brand loyalty you’ve generated. Don’t understand Twitter? Don’t worry! Rossi Contractors, Inc. is a family owned and operated construction company, and has been for more than 60 years. They are the contractor of choice for many corporate and government agencies, with a strong commitment to quality and safety that has solidi ed the company’s reputation as one of the region’s most exceptional construction rms.

This past month we were delighted to touch base with Lesley Lussow, Marketing Director for Rossi Contractors, about her experience working with EZSolution on the development of their new website.

“We had our website done ten years ago. It just wasn’t translating well to a smartphone or iPad. Because it was so old, we nally said, ‘let’s just junk it and make a new one!’”

“We got in touch with Tom, who sent us examples of sites EZSolution designed, which was very helpful. Then we went from there! I worked primarily with Joel, sketching out how we wanted each page to look, and the designers began to work on it page by page. Once he felt we were making good progress on the new site, we showed it to the owners of the company for approval.”

“I can’t tell you how awesome it was working with EZSolution. I’m a very straightforward person, and Joel was straightforward with me as we talked through our project. I had an idea of how our website should turn out—but EZSolution was able to actually make it happen.”

Thanks, Lesley, for taking a few minutes to discuss your experience working together with the EZSolution team! Please visit Rossi Contractors’ new website at www.rossicontractors.com and read more about the top-quality construction services they provide. If your website needs a redesign and you’re looking for a solution, contact Chris DeMeo at 717.291.4689.

“A great computer consultant will free you from worrying about data loss, downtime, and other issues, allowing you to focus on running and growing your business!”

Tom Malesic President

Many business owners and managers we work with wait far too long to have us check and update their computer network’s health and security. Unless we’re actively performing regular maintenance, a nasty virus, malicious hacker, unexpected software corruption, hardware failure, or dozens of other problems could catch you o -guard. Often, these issues result in extensive downtime, data loss, and expensive data recovery e orts.

Without regular network maintenance, the chances are very high that you’re overlooking many frightening threats. These threats aren’t boogeymen in the closet that disappear when you’re not looking! Rather, they’re only increasing every day your network goes without a checkup. When disaster eventually strikes, you’ll nd yourself with an unusable network. Of course, no business wants their employees sitting idle, waiting to get back to work.

By then the damage is done. It can cost thousands of dollars to get the network back to normal, if that’s even possible. What’s even more sobering is the fact that nearly every one of these costly disasters could have been prevented easily if someone had checked your network’s security and health to remove threats on a regular basis.

Our Free Network Checkup Will Exorcise the Demons Hiding in Your Computer NetworkTake advantage of a free network checkup this Halloween to get rid of any monsters hiding in your network—we’d be happy to help ensure your computer network is safe and sound. Schedule your free network checkup to see if you’re truly safe from spyware, viruses, hackers, and other spooky disasters by calling our o ce at 717.291.0370.

This Halloween, Who’s Keeping an Eye on Your

Computer Network?
