LIBRARY NEWS Library stocktake has started! Borrowing has now closed for the year. Please return any library books to the library as soon as possible. If you are unable to find an overdue book please send a note to Mrs Wilson. BAND INFORMATION Our William Bayldon Public School Band is looking ahead to 2020 and we'd love all students currently in Years 2-5 to consider being a part of it. We also offer tuition in Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet and Trombone with qualified tutors each week. There will be a Band Information Session in the Music Room on Monday, 11 November from 5pm - 5.45pm. P&C NEWS At our P&C Meeting held on Tuesday, 29 October, it was decided that as of next year we will no longer have a P&C and instead will hold a Parent Café twice a term. We invite all Parents and Carers to join us for morning tea and discuss events that are coming up (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Xmas raffle, etc.) as well as being informed about what is happening in the school. Your input would be very valuable. Gatherings will be held Tuesdays from 8.50am – 9.30am in week 3 and 7 each Term. We are organising to have a table at Toormina Gardens on Monday, 11 and Tuesday, 12 November to sell tickets in our Xmas raffle for SeaWorld. If you are able to spare a couple of hours to help, this would be greatly appreciated. Please let Renee in the Canteen or the staff in the front office know if you can help.

Sensory Movie Days

Next event: Sunday November 10th @ 10.30am

Sensory Movie Day is an inclusive event for families/carers with special needs children and adults. Siblings and extended family members are welcome to come along too and all tickets are only $6 each (children under 2 are free). Families with Special Needs children/adults can take their child/adult to the movies knowing they are free to move around the cinema, make a noise and just be themselves. Lights are dimmed (not completely dark), movie volume is lowered and exits are manned. Parents/carers are still responsible for their child/adult but volunteers will man the exits to ensure nobody leaves without their carer/guardian. The movie will also start at the advertised time so there isn’t half an hour of ads/previews to sit through before the movie even starts. For more information, please go to our Facebook page (Sensory Movie Day Coffs Harbour), and ‘like’ it to keep up to date, or send an email to [email protected] Michelle Anthony Local Coordinator
