FROM THE PRINCIPAL…
Dear Parents, Caregivers, Families and Friends, My first few weeks at the school have been fantastic. I have enjoyed meeting all the students and finding about their learning. The levels for expected behaviour are working well and I have had the privilege of providing a treat for around 20 students each week. At Governing Council on Monday afternoon we discussed enhancing our school’s natural surroundings with some Nature Play feature. Please have a look at some suggestions we have e included in the newsletter and we will be asking students and families to vote on what they would like to do first. We also welcome any other suggestions. Please note that Glossop Primary Community School will NOT be impacted by the industrial action being taken by members of the Australian Education Union on Wednesday 18 September. Our school and preschool will be open and education programs will be provided as normal. Please contact our front office if you have any questions regarding this information.
Kind regards,
Judith Howie
Acting Principal
Nature Play
At our Governing Council Meeting this week we discussed ideas for a new Nature Play area for our students.
Over the next few weeks we would like to hear from parents and students as to which idea /ideas they prefer the
most as well as anything else we could incorporate into our empty spaces.
We can then look into the costs and planning associated for making this idea a reality. It would be fantastic if we
could have parent helpers one weekend for a monster working bee and we could blitz as many jobs as possible as
many hands make light work.

Farewell Afternoon Tea School News & Community Notices
Hi everyone!
It has been a fantastic and busy term once again. Auntie Nattie and I have been working with the R/1/2s teaching them about local indigenous art and culture. It has been wonderful to hear Auntie Nattie's stories from her childhood and other stories from the past. Some of these stories are in our school library if you would like to bor-row the books.
Ukulele has been going really well with the 3/4/5’s. I have been impressed with how well the first group has picked it up. We are starting a new group this week.
Have a fantastic week. See you soon.
Best wishes,
Erin Harrald
