MATHS OLYMPIAD

02

Alhamdulillah, the successful conduct of 10th ISMO, last year has added another feather in the cap of PakTurk International Schools and Colleges. This activity provided a platform to students of Pakistan from almost every region.

The participation of 8735 students from 585 institutions of both public and private sector is a sign of students keen interest in mathematics.

I congratulate all students who participated in this ISMO for showing the courage to face the challenge and prove their talent. The position holders in the regions and on national level are those brilliant students who deserve a lot of appreciation, encouragement and my heartiest congratulations.

The title of “Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan” is received by a student from Rawalpindi which was held by a student of Karachi last year. Who would be the next year’s“Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan”, is an open challenge for students.

All position holders have been awarded with cash prizes having a total worth of 2 million rupees along with shields and certificates. The hard work of teachers of position holders was also acknowledged and they were also given certificates and shields.

I extend my heartiest congratulations to organizers of ISMO, the school administrations and teachers for their hard work which played a key role in the success of this activity.

I believe that Mathematics may not teach us how to add happiness or how to subtract sadness from our lives but it does teach one important thing that every problem has a a solution.
