Summer vacations are over, the kids have headed back to school, new sports seasons are starting and fall is just around the corner. Are you thinking of starting

something new? If you’re like me, you’re fi red up about all the new ideas and goals you dreamed about while you were relaxing on the boat this summer. It’s not a new year, but it’s a new season and time to get motivated!

This month we will be introducing you to three young women here in the Keys who are just beginning their journeys and their futures are looking bright.

If you’re a local, you know how lucky we are to still be enjoying summer for a little bit lon-ger. Many of our northern sisters are already put-ting their sweaters on. Why not head outside and

soak up some more of that sunshine? We’ve got some excellent ideas on how you might do that.

Last but certainly not least, I want to men-tion Team Island Jane. This group of women has already made great strides in not only taking care of their own health but also in recognizing the needs of other women in the community.

The idea behind Team Island Jane is to fi rst take care of ourselves by getting healthier, team-ing up to help each other achieve the same goals and then extending a hand to other women in our community who are looking for a better quality of life. It’s a beautiful thing to see.

May your month be fi lled with sunshine,
