INTRODUCTION To assist members with the recording of their animal records, such as Registrations, Dam Disposals (or “fates”), Animal Status Changes, Matings and Breedplan performance data, Angus Australia has an Online Registration System where data can be submitted and animals registered over the internet - through the Angus Australia website www.angusaustralia.com.au These systems have been designed for small to medium sized herds not using computerized Herd Management computer programs, so that they may process their animal registrations etc. online. This manual has been developed to outline these systems to members, firstly with the Online Registration System, for submitting your data. GETTING STARTED Once your account has been activated you will then be ready to start submitting data to Angus Australia. Before you start doing this however, it is a good idea to first have all your information available to enable you to enter the required data. 1. When entering calf details for registration you may need: • Calf paddock book or Angus calving book • Handwritten Calf Record Forms • Flush reports and implant details • Joining details 2. When entering joinings you may need: • Technician Reports for AI matings • Paddock Book • Flush Reports • Society idents for overseas sires used for AI matings 3. INTRODUCTION

To assist members with the recording of their animal records, such as Registrations, Dam Disposals (or “fates”),

Animal Status Changes, Matings and Breedplan performance data, Angus Australia has an Online Registration System

where data can be submitted and animals registered over the internet - through the Angus Australia website

www.angusaustralia.com.au

These systems have been designed for small to medium sized herds not using computerized Herd Management

GETTING STARTED

Once your account has been activated you will then be ready to start submitting data to Angus Australia. Before you

start doing this however, it is a good idea to first have all your information available to enable you to enter the

required data.

1. When entering calf details for registration you may need:

• Calf paddock book or Angus calving book

• Handwritten Calf Record Forms

• Flush reports and implant details

• Joining details

2. When entering joinings you may need:

• Technician Reports for AI matings

• Paddock Book

• Flush Reports

• Society idents for overseas sires used for AI matings

3. When advising status changes of females you need:

SUBMITTING CALF REGISTRATIONS ONLINE

1. Open your Internet browser and head to www.angusaustralia.com.au

2. Click the ‘Member Login’ option from the Menu along the top of the page.

3. Enter your Herd ID and Password in the boxes provided and click ‘Sign On’. If you do not yet have login

details, contact the Member Services Team (02) 6772 3011 [email protected]

4. You will now have access to all the files located in your Angus Members Page. Take some time to look

around the different search options.

5. To register calves click ‘Online Transactions’ located on the right hand side of the top menu bar.

6. From this screen, click on ‘Create a New Batch’. All of your batches will also be listed here should you wish to

double check previous submissions.

7. Select ‘Manually add records’ as the Batch Mode and ‘Calf Record Form’ as the Batch Type. Once you have

checked these two options click ‘Create’.

8. Now you have started your batch, click ‘Add’ underneath the calf listing table. Repeat this process for each

calf you register.

9. Type the calf details into the required fields. Only one calf may be submitted per entry. When you have

entered all the details, click ‘Go’ located at the bottom of the entry. Repeat this process for each calf you

register.

10. Once you have finished entering your calves, click View Batch Summary and Batch Submission Screen’

11. Check the submission details and click ‘Submit this batch to Angus’ if they are all correct. The batch will not

submit to Angus if there are any records with errors. If you do get an error, double check the information

and then contact Member Services Team for assistance.

12. Once you have sent your batch, the status will change to ‘Submitted’.

One of the Member Service Officers will process your file within 10 days. You will be sent your Calf Registration

Reports by mail and they will also appear in your ‘Files to Download Area’.

SUBMITTING DAM FATES ONLINE

2. Click the ‘Member Login’ option from the Menu along the top of the page.

around the different search options.

7. Select ‘Manually add records’ as the Batch Mode and ‘Dam Disposal form” as the Batch Type. Once you have

selected these two options click ‘Create’.

8. Now you have started your batch, click ‘Add’ underneath the dam listing table. Repeat this process for each

dam you fate off.

9. Enter the ident of the dam you would like to fate in the ‘Dam ID’ column. Select a reason for fating the dam

from the ‘Fate’ column. In the ‘Fate Date’ column record the date the female was fated off.

10. When you have entered all the details, click ‘Go’ located at the bottom of the entry. Repeat this process for

each calf you register.

11. Once you have finished entering your calves, click View Batch Summary and Batch Submission Screen’

12. Check the submission details and click ‘Submit this batch to Angus’ if they are all correct. The batch will not

submit to Angus if there are any records with errors. If you do get an error, double check the information

13. Once you have sent your batch, the status will change to ‘Submitted’.

One of the Member Service Officers will process your file within 10 days. All females still listed as ‘Active’ will be

invoiced according to the charges listed in the Angus Australia Regulations. Active females will also appear in your

Calf Record Forms in accordance to your calving season.
