Interwar Period• The Interwar period is understood within

Western culture to be the period between the end of the First World War and the beginning of the Second World War. This is also called the period between the wars or inter-bellum.

• The Great Depression started when the American stock market crashed on Oct. 29th, 1929. It was the longest, most widespread, and

• The treaty was signed on 28 June 1919, exactly five years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

• The Statute of Westminster marked the effective legislative independence of Canada and many other countries subordinated from the British Empire.
