Simply stated, inflation is caused by increasing the quantity of currency in circulation faster than the amount of available goods and services increases.There are actually two types of inflation, price and currency inflation. Price inflation is often a result of normal market forces and conditions. Currency inflation, however, is caused by manipulating the currency supply. Price inflation can exist without currency inflation, but currency inflation will always cause price inflation (although the price inflation can be masked).Inflated currency tends to bid up prices. However, currency inflation can exist without noticeable price increases...
