We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of what its like to be in band, with our exclusive interview with Joe Bowly, Sam Taylor, Chrissy Moore and Sam Langan. How did you first get discovered? Joe: Sam got an email from the Zanzibar who wanted to hear us in person, when we went to meet him he offered us a gig for a month later. Sam T: It was a weirdly fast process, like one minute we were sitting in Chrissy’s garage playing a few chords, and the next minute we were doing a gig in front of our best mates. Chrissy: Zanzibar were probably the best people that could get in touch, because they knew we weren’t very experienced but still gave us a chance. How long have you been together? Sam L: Just over a year now Joe: We aren’t getting bored just yet Who is the ‘Captain’ of the band? Sam T: Definitely me! Chrissy: Just because you sing mate, doesn’t mean you’re in charge. We started in my garage so I guess it would have to be me Joe: Its definitely my dad, our manager, actually What was your first song? Chrissy: Its called ‘Venetian Red’, and its about how how promoters rip off young and upcoming bands like us. Sam L: It’s actually something we can all agree we are passionate about.
