An annual award for internship and travel, open to graduate students who are one year from graduation (Second Year M.Arch I or First Year M.Arch II) at the Yale School of Architecture.
The fellowship consists of a ten week paid internship in the office of DMSAS in Washington, DC and a $10,000 stipend for travel and independent research during the summer of 2017.

AWARD: Ten week paid internship at the office of David M. Schwarz Architects (DMSAS) in Washington, DC and a $10,000 stipend for travel and independent research during the summer of 2017. � Statement of Intent for Travel and Research � Proposed Summer Schedule for Internship and Travel � Estimated Budget for Use of Travel Stipend � Portfolio
Submit applications to the School of Architecture Dean’s Office, Attn: Kate Rozen. TIMELINE:
� Applications due by 9:00AM, Thursday, January 12, 2017. � Award announced on February 22, 2017.
RECIPIENT OBLIGATIONS:
� Coordinate dates of internship (minimum of ten consecutive weeks) and travel with DMSAS. � Provide documentation of completed Fellowship to DMSAS and School of Architecture. � Give presentation/exhibit on Fellowship to School of Architecture during 2017-2018 academic year. � Give presentation on Fellowship to DMSAS during final academic year or after graduation.

Steve Knight, Associate & University Fellowship Coordinator at DMSAS ([email protected]) Note: Due to the required work component of the Fellowship and the length of time it takes to obtain a work permit, this award is
open only to American citizens or permanent residents. Funding for travel is intended to be the primary use of the stipend. Any remaining monies may be used for the recipient’s educational expenses including tuition, books and fees. DMSAS will award the stipend through the School of Architecture who will oversee its direct dispensation. Travel to/from Washington, DC and housing & living expenses are at recipient’s expense.
