Examples of the projects we have worked on are featured on this page.
Private Residence- Mallorca
This stunning private residence is secreted away in a peaceful section of the island of Mallorca, Spain. Set against a picturesque backdrop of clear skies and rolling mountains, the complex represents a tranquil oasis in the midst of Spanish heat.
The area the property is situated upon was flat wasteland before AC secured building rights, transforming the space into a luxury modern apartment complex that blends perfectly with the tone of the area.
Hazelwood Road
The long awaited redevelopment of 52-56 Hazelwood Road is good news for local residents. The seventies modelled building has long been something of an eyesore in the area, with a dilapidated exterior matched by a disused interior in need of a total renovation.
AC Developments has taken on theproject with the intention to convert the Northampton based building into an attractive new apartment block comprising fifteen separate apartments over three levels, all built to exacting standards. The building will receive a modern facelift as well as a total interior refit, providing a welcome boost to living space in the area as well as providing a huge improvement on the current aesthetic.

Westbury
AC Developments is proud to havesecured relevant permissions for a new housing community based in picturesque Westbury Village, situated on the border of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. The development will comprise five separate houses built to the highest standard.
The finished development will consist ofa one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom and two five bedroom abodes. Two of the buildings will be constructed using high quality stone, whilst the remainder will utilise conventional brickwork. The peaceful locationis a jewel in the countryside, situated in a conservation area and overseen by the local parish council.

We have worked at Gatwick Airportpreviously on a number of ‘landside’ schemes for various main contractors and we werekeen to become involved in Gatwick’s ‘airside’ projects. We were fortunate that one of our largest clients Carillion had secured the contract to redevelop Pier 5 at Gatwick’sNorth terminal.
Carillion had secured a difficult refurbishment project as the existing screed substratewas in one of the worst conditions we had seen. Carillion were aware of our extensive experience in sub floor preparation andsought our advice on the best course of actionto prepare the substrate, leaving it ready to receive high performance agglomerate tiling.
Various proposals were investigated andtrial areas were carried out to provide a solution that was both cost effective and robust. Ultimately, our proposal to heavily grind the existing substrate, epoxy prime and provide fibre reinforced self-levelling compound was adopted in order to achievethe tight SR1 level tolerance.
The proposal worked with great success and we installed numerous finishes. These predominantly included Tremco heavy-duty movement joints, Tremco fibre reinforced levelling compound, Tremco polymer modified moisture tolerant deep screed, In-Opera agglomerate and porcelain tiling, Forbo linoleum & Altro Flooring.
The £45 million project will increase the capacity and utilisation of the existing Pier5 as part of Gatwick’s aim to increase its passenger numbers and become London’s airport of choice. It includes construction of a new departures corridor on top of the existing pier to eradicate cross flows of arriving and departing passengers.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor on the project was more than impressed with the way we carried out their work saying ‘Work wascarried out to an extremely high standard, with a good degree of flexibility wherethe other trades were involved too. A few unexpected issues arose which were dealtwith quickly and professionally. All in all avery high standard with very pleasing results.’

After working closely with Mace on the completion of the prestigious Shard in London, we were the obvious choice to supply the flooring finishesat The Place, the stunning seventeen-storey business destination, towering over London Bridge station and neighbouring The Shard.
Prior to our involvement there were some issues securing the specified granite which originatedin India. We were drafted in to provide a solutionto the supply issue and utilising our strong relationships in Italy we were able to source sufficient quantity of Indian Kuppam GreenGranite, have each individual piece custom cut and manufacture bespoke planter cladding on time to an extremely high standard.
Ultimately we installed 150 tonnes of granite and 150m² of Brazilian Hardwood on the project. The granite flooring tiles were installed on heavy duty Buzon pedestals and timber decking on joists and noggins.
Although the project was a great success, (see pictures), it was also extremely testing, constructing large concrete planters in-situ, moving 150 tonnes of granite to the thirteenth floor within a small site compound and ensuring all the granite pieces slotted together like a jigsaw puzzle were memorable challenges.
The Place will provide 40,000m² of efficient, modern office space in a prestigiousseventeen-storey building of great architectural distinction.
The building has direct access to LondonBridge Quarter's new piazza, unrivalledconnections at London Bridge Station, and will provide a seamless transition from station to workplace. For the millions of people who pass through the transport hub, it will be the highly visible face at London's newest commercialquarter.
The Place has been designed to deliver exceptional environmental credentials and will provide one of London's largest roof terraces, with outstanding views.

The £842 million project bestows Glasgow with one of the most advancedAdult Acute Hospitals in the UK. The New BuildGeneral Hospital serves the Southern Glasgow area, which will replace and augment several existing hospital units. We were delighted to be involved in the project, having secured an agreement with main contractor Brookfield.
The new Adult Hospital is one of the most progressive in Europe, and with an estimated 110,000 patients going through its doors every year it will be one ofthe largest emergency departments in Scotland. The hospital is the home of major specialised services such as renal medicine, transplantation and vascular surgery. In particular, the existing Children's hospital atYorkhill will be supplemented by NSGH Children'sUnit, including dedicated surgical and oncology facilities. The Children's hospital will provideadvanced medical care and will be linked to the maternity services and the new Adult Hospital, in order to provide the best care for new borns andtheir mothers. Although both departments will be integrated, they will have separate functions and entrances.
The new hospital will provide 1,109 adult beds in single room accommodation, 256 children beds,30 modern operating theatres and a separate laboratory block– which will be supported by 10,000 employees.
The total duration of the project lasted 27 months and was delivered within programme and on budget. Sustainability
We are one of the few prominent subcontractors that participate in Carpet Recycling UK’s membership scheme, where we aim to reduceor recycle as much carpet sheet and tile wasteas possible. We are also active members of the Recofloor scheme, working side by side with leading resilient flooring manufacturers toreduce the impact of PVC on the environment by recycling site generated waste wherever possible. We have a strict policy on the procurement of timber products to ensure full FSC compliance including the monitoring and management of the‘Chain of Custody’ process, to ensure ethical and sustainable timber sourcing.
Site operatives are encouraged to carry out tiling work in an economic manner, reusing materials wherever possible and avoiding the over-ordering of materials, which reduces waste. Pallets are stored and in most cases returned to the respective suppliers at the completion of the project. Waste materials on-site are given due care and attention when sorted, according to their required disposal method. Non-site
disposable waste is often collected by ourselves, brought to our premises and disposed of by the appropriate means.
Both management and site staff are encouraged to use local suppliers, where it is practical, when arranging material deliveries. In addition, staff visiting projects and sites are encouraged to travel via public transport wherever it can be best utilised. These efforts are aimed at reducing the overall carbon footprint of our work, which wewill endeavour to continually improve upon. We encourage our office and administration staff to display environmental awareness. Waste paper generated at both offices is actively recycled, and warehouse staff are required to sort materials brought back from site into recyclable and non- recyclable waste.
Continuing to evaluate the impact our workhas on the environment is paramount to the business going forward, we regularly analyseour commitment to sustainability to ensure responsible environmental management.
The AC Group is an industry leader in terms of sustainability; we take pride in our expansive range of measures that ensure responsible environmental management throughout our operations. We encourage a policy of minimal or zero waste placed into landfill, have formed special arrangements with leading manufacturers to collect waste for recycling, and have ongoing internal initiatives to reduce and minimise packaging waste.
