Index Technical knowledge is required to perform an installation. If you cannot do this yourself, it is advisable to ask family or acquaintances with experience to perform the installation.With this manual we try to guide everyone through the installation, this manual has been prepared as much as possible for the most common situations. It is possible that your situation differs from what has been described.Before you install Windows on your PC, you must ensure that you have made a backup copy of all the files that you want to keep. With a clean installation of Windows, your hard drive will be completely erased.

Create installation mediaWe make an installation medium (DVD or USB stick) to start the computer and perform the installation. If you are going to use a USB stick, put it in the computer (at least 8GB).

You have received a link in your confirmation e-mail, which will take you to the Clix-Distri download page. Click on this link to go to the download page.

You will come to the Clix-Distri download page, search for your purchased product and click on the "32bit" or "64bit" to start the download. Then the download starts. When your download is ready, click twice on the file to execute it, the tool will be launched. If you do not see downloads press the key combination CTRL + J to display your downloads.

A number of things are being prepared and once this is ready you can click on "Agree" to accept the terms and conditions.

Create installation mediaYou can now choose what you want to do, you can immediately update the computer to Windows 10 or create an installation media for a clean installation.

We choose a clean installation and select the option "Create installation media (USB stick, DVD or ISO file) for another PC". After this we click on "Next".

Create installation mediaYou can now choose in which language and architecture you want to install. By default this is correct, if you want to change this you can remove the checkmark for “Use the recommended options for this PC” and adjust the options as desired. Click on "Next".

Perform clean installationWith a clean installation of Windows, your hard disk is completely emptied, and everything on it is now erased. Make sure you have made a backup before you begin.

You can set up your PC from a USB stick in the BIOS of your PC. You reach the BIOS of your PC by restarting the PC and well before Windows starts you press a function key, for example F8 or F12, F2, F10 or the Del (ete). Which key to press exactly is often shown briefly, just after you have switched on the PC and before Windows starts.

Search for a term such as boot order or boot sequence. Change the order of the bootable media here so that the DVD or USB installation medium starts up earlier than the internal disk.

Make sure the USB stick is in the computer and restart the computer. As soon as it is detected, you will be asked whether you want to start it (confirm with a random keystroke). If this question is not asked, check the start-up order in the UEFI / BIOS (see previous paragraph) and / or insert the USB stick in a different type of port (for example, a USB2 instead of a USB3 port). If this is done correctly, the installation of Windows 10 will be started.

If you have purchased Windows 10 Professional, choose Windows 10 Pro. If you have bought Windows 10 Home, choose Windows 10 Home. DO NOT choose Windows 10 N.

Click on "Next" when you have made your choice.

Activate existing installationActivation is only possible for officially installed Windows operating systems. Make sure the system is equipped with the latest updates before you perform the activation.

- Open the settings by pressing the key combination windows key and the letter i.- Click on the section on "Update and security".- Click on "Activation" on the left side of the menu.- Click on "Change product key"- Enter the product key that you received from us by e-mail.- Click on "Next".- Click on "Activate".- Windows is activated and click on “Close”.
