AUSSIE EIGHT is the 1/48th scale LIMITED EDITION kit, dedicated to the service of the Spitfire Mk.VIIIs in Royal Australian Air Force during late years of WWII and in early post war period. The item is released in DUAL COM- BO mode, which means the packing contains two complete kits of the Spitfire Mk.VIII, two sets of resin wheels with characteristic tire design used on RAAF Spitfires, two sets of the photoetch, double mask sheet, two huge decal sheets printed by Cartograf and two smaller decal sheets with stencils printed by Eduard, bringing decal options for 30 aircraft, instruction sheet, painting guide (32 pages) and the book AUSSIE EIGHT compiled by Eduard team on the base of the photos, historical text and other materials kindly supplied by Peter Malone. The book itself is a great piece, with 104 pages of the comprehensive text, photos and illustrations. See previews, mar- king schemes and the other information in this newsletter to know what you can expect. To be absolutely honest, we expect this item will be one of the most commented and most successful Eduard item. The other kit items are 1/72nd scale UTI MIG-15 in Profipack line and 1/48th scale SPAD XIII in the Weekend line. The photoetch line brings usual mix of the new sets, with sets for UTI MiG-15 by Eduard, Whitley Mk.V by Airfix and He 111P by Airfix in 1/72nd scale, 1/48th scale sets for F-4D Phantom II by Academy, UH-1Y Venom by Kitty Hawk and A-10C by Italeri. Two seatbelts sets, one classic color photoetch and one Fabric type set, are designed for brand new Mosquito Mk.VI by Tamiya. There are also two 1/700 scale sets for HMS Dreadnought and Royal Navy Figures, which is a color set. See also five new BIG ED sets and eight new mask sets including two camouflage pattern mask sets. Brassin line brings all together 12 new sets, including the 1/48th scale cockpit set for F-4J designed for Academy kit and 1/32nd scale cockpit set for Spitfire Mk.II (Revell). Note the F-4C ejection seat for 1/48th scale Academy kit, 1/72nd scale wheel set for 1/72 scale F-4J Academy kit, and two smaller sets, exhaust and wheels, designed for HKM 1/32nd scale Mosquito.
