Review of Honours Policy [Refer CS103/11/07 of Nov 2007]]

A report be prepared by July 2008 which reviews Council’s Honours Policy. (Cr Munn)

Matter to be investigated and report will be submitted to Committee/Council.

Matters Referred to Standing Committees [Refer CS90/8/09 of 18 August 2009] Requested that the procedure be referred to SOHAG for consideration. (Cr Munn)

Councillors’ Items [Refer Minutes of SOHAG of 15 September 2009] That the procedure for Councillors’ items at Committee meetings be developed into a Council Policy with an associated Management Practice. (Cr Munn)

CEO/Corporate Services

Matter considered by Manex and a Management Practice to be developed for consideration by Committee/Council.

Recognition of Service by Councillors [Refer Minutes of SOHAG of 15 September 2009] That a policy and associated management practice be developed for the presentation of gifts to Councillors in recognition of their years of service at the end of their term as a Councillor. (Cr Zelones)

Corporate Services

Regulations are now in place to clarify the circumstances in which a local government can make a gift to a member. A draft Council Policy will be referred to the August City Strategy Committee meeting.

Structural Reform

Requested that the Structural Reform process be advanced, initially with a Councillor Workshop and following the October election possibly a working group being formed to discuss reform initiatives. (Cr Tizard)

Following adoption of the 2012 Budget, a councillor workshop will be scheduled to commence this process.
